Trending Dashboard
Trending Dashboard helps you identify trending songs with confidence, powered by machine learning models and the data points you care about, including active streams for Spotify and Apple Music.
You can find the Trending Dashboard in the left-hand navigation under “Trending.” The section also includes the existing TikTok Gainers report, now available as the second tab. Note: these are internal features available for employees only.
The Trending Dashboard sorts tracks based on the number of days a song has been trending determined by our machine learning model. From there, you can view a track’s 30 Day Staying Power, which predicts the likelihood that a trending song will continue to trend for 30 more days. You can also see other stats like one-day Spotify and Apple streams.
Use the filters at the top of the page to zero in on the trends most relevant to you. Clicking on a track will take you to the song page, pre-filtered to show the trending market so it’s easier to explore the trend in more detail.
Want to learn more about how the trending model works? Just click “Learn More” at the top of the page.
As an extension of the Trending Dashboard in Insights, we’ve added a banner to the song page that helps you quickly spot and explore what’s driving trends across markets.
The Trending Banner highlights where a song is trending, how long it’s been trending, its staying power, and the trending drivers behind that activity.
TikTok (Gainers)
TikTok Gainers is a dashboard that scans our extensive collection and proactively highlights tracks gaining popularity on TikTok, tailored to your preferences. Please note: this feature is exclusive to internal teams.
You can switch between a daily view and a 7-day view. To see activity in a specific market, use the country filter to focus on particular countries and regions.
Additionally, choosing an ISRC country will help you analyze the performance of specific regional repertoire. For instance, if you want to see how UK repertoire trends in the United States, set the ISRC market to the UK and the country market to the US for a focused view.
You can also refine your view to the brand’s repertoire by using the brand filter and selecting a release period for track releases. This allows you to focus on Frontline repertoire, Catalog repertoire, and everything in between.
Finally, set a % Creations threshold based on the magnitude of the spike you’re interested in. Set this value low for broader coverage of positive changes, or high if you only want to see significant spikes.
